Namesake it I’ll second rate it, the kids’ll hate it,
I got it - I got it - got it, I’ll break it - I’ll break - I’m breaking it
Scissor is it sister? Transition and say you miss her,
I’ll bill it, I wish I wished, I miss it, I really miss it (oh).
Can’t speak of numbers, I’ll stumble, I’ll rain and thunder,
yeah look - yeah look alive, it’s 1 - 2 3 4 5
Batter out the clatter, yeah numbers just sound much sadder
Yeah they say they play they more,
Well do it slower than before, do it 1 2 3 4
I’d love her,
Destroy her,
But never know.
I’d love her,
Destroy her,
And let it go x2
You said our solace was sacred,
You said you were my immoral,
You said you kept me sane
And for that we’d never be the same.
But am I wrong?
I don’t mind that I found it hard
Felt it rising in my stomach
Like I’m stood before a crowd
A butterfly effect
Into a wretch over the sink
And I don’t know what to think
Oh god I don’t what to think, AGH
But this is new
I thought I knew
It could be the booze
The news
The style mile
The abused
And no I’m not enthused
And no I’m not amused
‘Cus I’m used to being used
Oh god I’m used to being used
Oh god I’m used to being used
I’m used to being used [x2]
There stolen far, not half a beat from who they are
God, I’m used to being used.
There stolen near, bias seized, and in their fear,
they’re used, forlorn 1 2 3 4
But when we wake into a ricochet echo screaming round, I see my soul wait wait
A furiously, chaotically fun time, like a party where everybody is beating the crap out of each other. I will buy your merch and tell my friends about this brand new (not second-rate) heavy band. white_witch
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
